Darren brings into CCL a phenomenal 27-year career in the military, where he has held pivotal roles both on the field and as a coach and trainer of new generations of cadets.
A former Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) senior soldier within the Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) of the British Armed Forces, Darren has a demonstrated record of motivating high-readiness teams for success in varying environments.
During his tenure, Darren has implemented an Operators Acceptance Course (OAC) to the SFSG. He has been instrumental in varying Management and Leadership roles throughout his career, including training and mentoring foreign military troops on behalf of the U.K. government. This included specialist anti-narcotics training teams as part of an eradication taskforce alongside the American D.E.A.: as part of this task, he was able to help link network and transit routes of drugs across the theatre of operations.
A successful 2-year appointment at the prestigious Officer College the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), gave Darren the opportunity to represent the RMAS in the historic Sandhurst cup as part of the management team. In his daily routine at Sandhurst, he managed 35 Officer Cadets through their 1-year Commissioning Course.
Over 7 years of operational experience in the world’s most hostile and austere environments have enabled Darren to leverage this experience to mentor others to overcome anxiety and achieve their desired results, whilst developing themselves.
